Our franchise owners come from a wide range of backgrounds, and many join us without prior food retail or restaurant experience. What matters most is a genuine drive to succeed and a commitment to running your business.
While retail management or food service experience can be an advantage, it isn’t essential. Every new franchisee receives training that covers all the knowledge and skills needed to confidently operate a Skewerz Kebabz store.
Most franchisees open their Skewerz Kebabz store within approximately 14 weeks of signing the Franchise Agreement. However, timelines can vary. Factors such as finding and securing the right site, arranging financing, completing construction or fit-out, and obtaining required permits, licences and approvals may impact the opening timeframe.
The investment varies depending on the specific site and store requirements, but most Skewerz Kebabz franchises range between $150,000 and $400,000.
This initial investment covers the franchise fee, use of our intellectual property, store design, fixtures and fittings, equipment, operating systems and comprehensive training.
Franchisees complete classroom-based training at our Support Office, followed by practical, in-store operational training. We also assist with staff hiring and provide hands-on support both leading up to your store opening and throughout the initial post-opening period to help ensure a smooth start.
The franchise fee for Skewerz Kebabz is 8% of net sales. This includes marketing, IT and operational support.
As part of our award-winning franchise model, we do expect franchisees to actively work in their stores. Our experience demonstrates that stores become more successful when franchisees are active in the day to day running of their business.
